Celebrating David L’Ecuyer’s Induction into the CCUA Hall of Fame

We are incredibly proud to announce that our former President and CEO, David L’Ecuyer, was recently inducted into the Cooperative Credit Union Association’s Hall of Fame. This prestigious recognition was revealed at CCUA’s annual Apex Conference earlier this month, celebrating David’s exceptional contributions to the credit union industry.
David led Central One from 1994 until his retirement in 2022. Under his visionary leadership, our organization became a leader in innovation and community service, achieving significant growth and enhancing member satisfaction.
“Dave’s recognition is well-deserved,” said Devon Lyon, current President and CEO of Central One. “His dedication and leadership have left a lasting impact on our company and the entire credit union community.”
During David’s 28-year tenure, Central One’s assets increased seven-fold to $735 million, and our membership more than doubled to over 35,000. As only the second CEO in our 70-year history, he successfully transitioned Central One from a small credit union for New England Electric System employees to one of the largest federal credit unions in central Massachusetts.
David’s induction into the CCUA Hall of Fame reflects his legacy of excellence and the significant contributions he made to the credit union movement.
